John Abraham was first noticed in a music video. Composed by the Punjabi singer, Jazzy B, John Abraham shot for one of the songs. His modeling career took off after he won the Gladrags Manhunt contest in 1999.This gave him the opportunity to appear for the Manhunt International competition that year. He was placed second, thus giving his modeling career a boost. John Abraham was such a successful model that he often did campaigns and shows in Singapore, London, New York and Hong Kong.
