Shahid Kapoor
Shahid Kapoor has come a long way in terms of his acting and physical appearance. For the film Kaminey (2010) directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, Shahid lost a considerable amount of weight and followed a strict fitness regime. He had to look thinner for his role.
Shahid Kapoor Muscle – His Path to Fitness
Shahid claims that he is inherently drawn towards fitness and it is a way of life for him. His role in the films Kaminey (2009) and Chance Pe Dance (2010) required him to have different body types. Director Vishal Bhardwaj wanted him to look chiseled and rugged for his role in Kaminey and Director Ken Ghosh wanted him to flaunt eight pack abs for a song in Chance Pe Dance (2010).
Shahid Kapoor had to undergo a complete change in his lifestyle for about a year and he worked diligently towards his goal.
Shahid worked out five to six times a week. Being a vegetarian, he followed a fixed diet. He ate food with no sugar and oil and consumed food every three hours. Brown rice and oats featured regularly on his dinner plate. He even worked out at 2 AM if he had grueling schedules for shooting. He just followed his fitness trainer and did not have a specific favorite exercise.
It was a combination of weights and parkour, plus cardio and circuit training. The actor does not have a gym at his house but that does not stop him from working out. He believes that Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone are the fittest in the film industry. He does not have any issues with getting six packs abs if the role for a film demands it.
Shahid Kapoor Muscle – Some Tips
He believes that maintaining a six pack is no easy task. His advice to all who wish to attain this look is that they need to follow a regular fitness regime. Shahid has claimed in his many interviews that there is a lot of sacrifice involved in shaping up one’s abdomen. He believes that the only way to get a good physique is through exercise.
Shahid Kapoor was a trained dance instructor with Shiamak Davar, a guru of Indian contemporary dance and was also a member of the Shiamak Davar Dance Company.
