Rihanna scrapped a show in Sweden on Monday after she was hospitalized with a nasty bout of influenza.

The singer was set to perform the latest date on her "Loud" tour in Malmo, but fell ill and was taken to a nearby medical center.

The singer has been hooked up to an intravenous drip in a bid to replenish fluids, and she uploaded a snap of herself in a hospital bed on Twitter while apologising to her fans for cancelling the show.

A statement from the singer reads, "I am sorry to everyone who was coming to my show in Malmo. I was so excited to perform for you all. It would have been a great time! so much better than being sick with the flu, ugh! I'm really disappointed I couldn't be there."
