Priyanka Chopra was born on 18 July, 1982 in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. Her father Capt. Dr. Ashok Chopra was an Army and her mother is Dr. Madhu Chopra. She started her education at La Martinière Girls College and than studied in USA.

Priyanka Chopra set the stage on fire as she paid a tribute to popular Indian female singers like Kavita Krishnamurthy, Rekha Bhardwaj, Sunidhi Chauhan and Usha Uthup by grooving to their iconic numbers at the Global Indian Music Awards (GIMA).

Priyanka Chopra is an Indian film actress and former Miss World, who acts in Bollywood films. After winning the title of Miss India World and later becoming Miss World 2000, Chopra made her acting debut with the Tamil film Thamizhan (2002). The following year, she made her Bollywood debut with Anil Sharma's The Hero: Love Story of a Spy and had her first commercial success with her second release, Andaaz from the same year, for which she won a Filmfare Best Female Debut Award.
