Bruno Mars may have been arrested for cocaine possession

Bruno Mars may have been arrested for cocaine possession in Las Vegas last weekend.

MTV’s yearly Video Music Awards show is fast approaching, and the announcements continue to roll out. With some serious top notch performers on board for the festivities, MTV is adding more talent to the already amazing roster with a performance by Bruno Mars.

Mars is already nominated for four moon men, going up against his Odd Future “rivals” for “Video Of The Year.” Tyler, The Creator has been very vocal about what might happen if they lose this important accolade to another fan favorite– Mars. But it will be Bruno who feels at home, after giving an undoubtedly impecable performance at last year’s VMA awards show with B.o.B. and Hayley Williams in a live medley.

Mars spoke to MTV regarding his nominations, and was especially excited about the nod for “Video Of The Year,” sharing his past memories of the VMA’s and the excitement for the upcoming awards ceremony. ”I grew up watching VMAs. I know every performance. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been watching MTV VMAs, and when we got the phone call saying that my video was up for Video of the Year, that’s the big-boy award.”

With all of that excited energy, expect an ovation worthy performance from Bruno Mars this August 28.
