Demi Lovato To Sing The National Anthem Before Game 5 Of The World Series

Demi Lovato will mark the first anniversary of her rehab stint at baseball's World Series on Monday.

The singer/actress was admitted to rehab in October, 2010 following a breakdown on tour with the Jonas Brothers in South America.

Lovato is now in recovery and in the middle of a major comeback after revealing she struggled for years with eating disorders and emotional problems.

And, a year to the day after the beginning of her three-month rehab treatment, Lovato will perform the National Anthem at Game 5 of the World Series between the Texas Rangers and the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday.

The call-up to the big game comes just days after her sister Dallas tweeted that the "Skyscraper" singer should belt out the National Anthem during the Major League Baseball championship series, while watching Game 1.

Demi Lovato

Demi Lovato is back with a successful album, even topping former flame Joe Jonas, but she hasn't forgotten her past mistakes.

Lovato, who sought treatment over a year ago for "emotional and physical issues,” says she employs a new vigilance when allowing people into her inner circle.

"Just to be careful who you trust. Sometimes you don't know who you can and cannot trust," the singer and actress, 19, tells Parade. "I still learn that over and over again."

Demi Lovato was busy promoting her latest single “Skyscraper” and she was recently interviewed by Extra during a special performance at The Grove shopping center. We got the cool interview and we’re sharing it with you, just check below.

The interview basically covered everything all her other interviews covered like the meaning behind her hit “Skyscraper”, the scoop on her upcoming single “Who’s That Boy?”, and on whether she plans on going back to television. The interviewer, who was former Saved By The Bell star Mario Lopez, also got the audience involved and encouraged the fans to ask Demi Lovato any questions they might have. Its an interesting interview, so be sure to watch the video below.

Are you digging her hit song “Skyscraper?” Are you looking forward to her next hit? I like “Skyscraper” because its a positive song and it gives lots of hope to all her fans. I think that’s a big part of the reason of why most singers do what they do. Demi is so cool with her fans and I think that factor contributes to her popularity. If you ever met Demi or if you’ve met before but haven’t had a chance to talk to her, what questions would you ask her?
