Lady Gaga Is A Mermaid On The Cover Of The World's Largest Magazine Ever - Visionaire 61

Lady Gaga may be huge right now in terms of stature in the world of pop music, but now she's literally gotten huge for the cover of Visionaire 61: "Larger Than Life."

The "Born This Way" singer has found herself on the cover of yet another magazine - only this one's a record-breaking seven feet tall!

Dressed as a mermaid in black paint and quoted as saying, "There is no oil too thick as to destroy the imagination," Lady Gaga was chosen as the cover subject because "no contemporary figure symbolizes Larger Than Life" more than she does. She was photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin for the front & back covers of the issue, which is available in two limited editions.

The Standard Edition of the magazine is non-record breaking, measuring in at just over three feet by four feet. Limited to only 2500 numbered copies it'll only set you back a mere $375.

But the biggest Lady Gaga fans will have to act quickly if they want onf of the extremely limited Guinness World Records certified Deluxe Editions - there's only 250 of those, measuring nearly five feet by seven feet, and costing a pretty $1500.

Challenging the rules of publications, Visionaire lets several artists and photographers go big with their visions - including photographers Steven Klein, Steven Meisel, Mario Sorrenti, and Bruce Weber; artists Doug Aitken, Maurizio Cattelan & Pierpaolo Ferrari, Philip-Lorca diCorcia, Ryan McGinley, Marilyn Minter, Rob Pruitt, Ed Ruscha, Tom Sachs, Sam Taylor-Wood, Josephine Meckseper & Richard Phillips, Marina Abramovic & Martin Schoeller, Guido Mocafico, and Massimo Vitali; fashion designer / photographer Karl Lagerfeld and filmmaker Ridley Scott all contributed to the issue.
