Miss World

    BANGKOK, Thailand - Pacharida "Julie" Rodkongka (20, 1.78m) was crowned Miss Thailand World 2011at the Centara Grand's Bangkok Convention Centre in CentralWorld, Bangkok. She will representThailand in Miss World 2011 in London, England on November 6.

    Ballet dancer Rebecca Zhu walked off with this year’s Miss Hong Kong title, beating 13 other contestants. Hyman Chu, 23, a program host in Canada, and Whitney Hui, 22, a student from Britain who also won the most photogenic award, were named first and second runners-up, respectively. The 1.68-meter Zhu, who’s also 23, moved to Hong Kong just over seven years ago from Suzhou. She became one of the early favorites after winning a photographic competition early last month when the finalists were filming in Panyu, Guangzhou.


    Eighteen year-old Andri Karantoni (photo above) was crowned Star Cyprus 2011 (Σταρ Kύπρος 2011) at the finale of the 2011 Cyprus Official Beauty Contest held at the Pavilion in Nicosia. She will represent Cyprus in Miss Universe 2011 in Sao Paulo, Brazil on September 12. Karantoni stands 1.71 m. tall.

    Meanwhile, on the same event named Orthodoxia Panagi, 19, (photo below) as Miss Cyprus 2011 (Μις Kύπρος 2011). She will represent Cyprus in Miss World 2011 in London, England on November 6. Panagi stands 1.69 m. tall.

    DUBLIN, Ireland - Holly Carpenter (19, 1.77m, Dublin) was crowned Miss Ireland 2011 at the D4 Berkeley Hotel in Dublin. She will represent Ireland in Miss World 2011 in London, England on November 6. Rebecca Maguire was the first runner-up and Aisling Alcock was the second runner-up. (The Times of Beauty)

    Beatriz Ochoa was crowned Señorita Honduras 2011/Miss Mundo Honduras 2011/Miss Honduras World 2011 at the Colegio de Ingenieros Civiles Amphitheater in San Pedro Sula on August 5, 2011. She is 22 year old will represent Honduras in Miss World 2011 in London, England on November 6.

    Victoria Phạm Thúy Vy, the second runner-up of Miss Vietnam World 2010, has been selected to represent Vietnam in Miss World 2011 in London this November. Victoria Phạm Thúy Vy is 21 year old and stands 1.71 m.

    Monica Andrea Restrepo, Miss Mundo Bogota, was crowned Miss Mundo Colombia 2011/ Miss World Colombia 2011 at the national finale held at the William Shakespeare Theater of the Colegio Anglo Colombiano in Bogota on August 18, 2011. Monica is 21 year old and stands 1.72 m. She will represent Colombia in Miss World 2011 Pageant.

    Clémence Marie Oleksy has been selected by the Miss France Organization to represent France in Miss World 2011 Pageant. Clémence Marie Oleksy from Vichy is 19 year old and stands 1.76 m (5’9”). She was the second runner-up in Miss France 2011 Pageant.

    According to Lupita Jones, the head of Nuestra Belleza México Organization, Gabriela Palacio Díaz has been selected to represent Mexico in Miss World 2011. Palacio is the firt runner-up to Cynthia de la Vega, who was dethroned recently. Palacio from Aguascalientes is 21 year old and stands 1.79 m. She represented Mexico in Miss International 2010 in Chengdu, China and won the Miss Photogenic Award.

    Once again, in the said press conference, Lupita Jones said Cynthia de la Vega was dethroned not because of her weight but because of her lack of discipline and her inability to commit a serious job – representing Mexico in Miss World 2011 Pageant.

    Chloe Chen was crowned Miss Malaysia World 2011 on August 20, 2011. She will receive a Cash Prize of RM200,000 and the right to represent Malaysia in Miss World 2011 in London this November. Pamela Tam was the 1st Runner Up of Miss World Malaysia 2011. Chua Yee See was the 2nd Runner Up of Miss World Malaysia 2011.

    Australia has it’s Miss World representative, and she is Amber Greasley, crowned earlier today in Melbourne. The 1st runner-up was Mietta Gornall, and the 2nd runner-up was Rachael Penrose.

    The Aussie beauty will get ready to compete in Miss World 2011, in London, on November 6.


    Maya Celeste Padillo Olesen (20, 1.75m, Christiansfeld) was crowned Miss World Danmark 2011 during a ceremony held at First Kong Frederik Hotel in Copenhagen on August 20, by Lisa Lents, director of theMiss and Mister of Denmark Organization and national director of Miss World in Denmark. Maya will representDenmark at the Miss World 2011 pageant to be held in London’s Earls Court on November 6th.

    Two beauty queens and three former Mr. Denmark representatives attended the event as special guests and judges: Lisa Lents (National Director Denmark, Miss World Denmark 2008), Sandra Vester (Miss Earth Denmark 2010/Miss Europe Denmark 2006), Morten Krogh Jeppesen (Mr. Universe Model Denmark 2011), Anders Houmann (Mr. Universe Model Denmark 2010), Kristian Greiff (Mr. Denmark Manhunt International 2010).

    Maja Maraš (20, Podgorica) was crowned Miss Montenegro 2011 at the Hotel Mediteran in Bečići. She will represent Montenegro in Miss World 2011, in London, England, on November 6. The first runner-up was Andrea Radonjić from Podgorica, while the second runner-up was Milica Barovic from Nikšić.

    Angelika Ogryzek was crowned Miss Polski 2011 or Miss Poland World 2011 on August 28, 2011 in the city of Płock. Angelika from Szczecin is 19 year old and stands 1.76m. She will represent Poland in Miss World 2011 pageant in London on November 6.
